About Ken Maggi

Photography has been one of my favorite interests and hobbies since I was a youngster. My first camera was my mother's Brownie and over the years I was able to borrow and own many types of cameras to develop my photographic eye and ability. I enjoy the opportunity to teach others how to better use the camera as an effective tool and to help them develop their confidence and skills in their own quest to take a better photo. I continue to enjoy the learning adventure of exploring new subjects and new ways to capture what I see on the camera.

Landscape photography is my favorite avenue of photographic expression. I enjoy seeing and recording the beauty that God has placed around us from the delicate flower to the majestic expanse of a mountain range and using photography to share that beauty with others.

Living on the east and west coasts has given me a love for the maritime from the lighthouses that guide the sailor to the sailing ships that continue to sail the seas and the rich history that follows them. It is a real pleasure to capture these photo opportunities here in the United States.

I now live in the farm land of Ohio and this has opened up new avenues of photographic subjects and opportunities. I enjoy getting out and looking for that "perfect photographic composition" no matter the place or subject.

Portrait photography has been added to my photographic repertoire. Doing wedding, engagement, and high school senior photos has opened a new avenue that is a successful and rewarding adventure for me and my clients.
